Thank You Young Man

Thank you young man,

for serving our country,

so that America remains free.

Thank you, for facing danger every day,

so that danger never sets foot on American soil.

Thank you for suffering the hot sun and blowing sand

so I can enjoy fresh clean air without fear.

Thank you for risking your life, in hopes

of providing freedom to oppressed people.

Please know, that I and others like me

appreciate your many sacrifices

and that we pray for your health and safety.

You are not the first, but may you be the last,

to leave the safety of your home, and face danger,

risking life and limb so that the world may be free.

May God grant you shelter and safety while you are there,

and a safe voyage home when your task is done.

May you be greeted on your return home

by a grateful nation, and for the remainder of your life,

may you bask in the love of your wife and family,

knowing that you have done your best,

to protect the world from tyranny.

That you have helped to achieve eternal peace.

And may we never forget your

courageous sacrifices on our behalf.

May God always hold you in thr palm of His Hand.
