The Rainbow of His Love

Down in California the residents are shaking,
as beneath their feet, the very earth is quaking.
Summertime in Texas had everybody baking
as the rising temperatures were all the records breaking.
They are now enshrouded in snow up past their knees,
and the weight of all that snow bends and breaks the trees.
Last year the Missouri began to rise and flood
and washed away a lot of that Mississippi mud.
New Jersey's inundated with freezing ice and snow
as throughout the Midwest, tornado winds do blow.
The State of Florida, Andrew devastated.
Storms across the Nation came unanticipated.
Back when Mt. St. Helens chose to blow her stack,
throughout the State of Washington all the skies turned black,
the ash in Wenatchee, we only had to sweep.
Other towns lay buried in ash six inches deep.
Why are we so favored with Blessings from above?
Who are we to question the Rainbow of His Love?
