When Rosie was a little girl
and went out side to play,
"Wait for me, I'm coming too!"
she'd hear sister Ethel say.
When Rose was seventeen
and dancing was the fad'
thirteen year old Ethel said,
"Me too, or I'll tell Dad!"
Yes, little sister Ethel
never passed up the chance
to follow Rosie's footsteps,
sneaking out, with friends to dance.
Rose took lots of chances
but on Ethel, kept an eye.
It was known by all, that Ethel,
on Rosie could rely.
Rosie went to Heaven
in nineteen-eighty-nine,
and it really bothered Ethel,
that she was left behind.
To think that sister Rosie
had seen Jesus on His throne,
and walked and talked with angels
leaving Ethel here alone.
Now, both girls have joined their parents,
brother Jim, and sister Grace.
And I know that this reunion
has made Heaven a happier place.
