"Freeze!"

Don Howard sat in the hot tub,
relaxing, enjoying the bubbles,
when he heard a commotion, and
thought, "Man, I've really got troubles!"

A bad guy ran into the hot tub room,
pursued by a cop with a gun.
"Freeze!" he said, and the crook froze,
and Don could find no place to run.

Thr Sheriff's office had asked us
to cooperate in a sting,
an undercover agent was placed here
to break up a pipe bombing ring.

They promised to behave discreetly,
and to upset not even one guest.
But the culprit attempted to escape,
when it came time to make the arrest.

And Don just happened to be
in the right place at the wrong time,
it was closer than he ever hoped to be
involved in solving a crime.

From that day on when I saw Don,
He'd grin, and he'd yell "Freeze!"
His eyes would twinkle and shine,
and he'd giggle and slap his knees.

Don lived an uneventful life,
a gentle, peace loving man.
This experience changed him
into a "COPS AND ROBBERS' fan.
