I sat by the window, hands on my tummy,
in a straight back kitchen chair,
my feet on the radiator,
and I knew that God was there.
-
I thought of my responsibility
to the life I held within.
I knew I wasn't qualified
I knew I wasn't qualified
for this venture to begin.
-
So, I asked God for His Wisdom,
His Judgement and His Grace.
I asked Him for His Guidance,
I asked Him for His Guidance,
in providing you a place.
-
I asked Him to intercede
when my judgement erred,
as I knew it would because
I was so unprepared.
-
And God did all the things I asked,
multiplied by ten times ten.
I thank God for you, every day,
my babe, the finest of all men.
-
I can't believe you came from me!
You are kind and good, and sharing,
with integrity, honesty and humor.
You are loving, sweet and caring.
-
Thank You, God for doing
the things I was unable to do.
Thank You, God for this son,
made in the image of You.
