The Year At A Glance

Yesterday was New Years,

groundhogs came out to play.

We honored our Presidents

then the Irish had their day.

We hunted Easter eggs

and bought flowers for our Moms,

saluted the flag

and shot off cherry bombs.

We coasted through August

and then t'was Labor Day.

We remembered Columbus

and goblins came out to play.

-

Now it's time to give our Thanks

for all that's come our way

as we count our Blessings

on this Thanksgiving Day.

-

Next comes Christmas morning,

with resounding cheers.

I close my eyes and wake to find,

tomorrow is New Years.
