Bob Cobb

"Ella, would you call
an ambulance for me?
I've had this pain for weeks,
no end in sight I see."
-
I called, and when the ambulance
arrived, Bob climbed inside.
I informed the driver, "Until I
hear from you, I'll patiently abide."
-
The call came hours later,
they said, "Mr. Cobb won't be back.
We need to keep him several days,
he's had a heart attack."
-
I never did see Bob again.
Bob Butler keeps me informed.
Bob cobb is on the waiting list
for a transplant to be performed.
-
Bob always looked so healthy,
I never would have guessed,
that this vigorous man was walking
around with a time bomb in his chest.
-
(Bob Cobb passed away in his sleep, December 21st, 1991. He was 53 years old.)
