His Honor

Quite a sense of humor has Lynch,
the mayor of our town,
runs a very tight ship, and
still has time to play the clown.
-
He's a Master of PR,
and a very busy man,
but if you need to see him
he will readjust his plan.
-
Three dif'rent times I've called him
and he's always made the time,
to take care of my problem,
no excuse, reason or rhyme.
-
At times he is all business,
but always makes time for fun.
He gets pleasure from each day
and somehow his work gets done.
-
I'd rather have a man in
charge, who can entice a smile,
than one who looks as tho he'd
trudged mile after weary mile.
-
Humor gives one energy
to tackle the task at hand.
I admire you, Mr. Lynch,
may you long be in command.
